Larry B. Smith, Sr., P. E.

Larry B. Smith, Sr. attended Marshville High School in Marshville, N. C. and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1960. A recipient of a National Defense Fellowship for Graduate Study in Engineering. Mr. Smith received his Master of Science degree and completed his studies toward a Ph. D at North Carolina State University in 1964.
His early professional career was as an Estimator and Design Engineer with the Building Division of Dickerson, Inc. in Monroe, N. C. and later to become President of Dickerson Engineering. In 1975, he formed his own engineering and architectural firm, L. B. Smith & Associate, P. A. Mr. Smith was a registered Professional Engineer in eighteen states, specializing in the design of industrial buildings.
